Overview & Summary:
Antony Major has over twenty years’ experience in the property industry. His exposure to the building industry came at an early age, his father being a carpenter, joiner and general builder. Antony worked with him from the age of 14 in the family joinery workshop as well as on site carrying out first and second fix works and labouring for various trades. This enabled Antony a valuable insight into the practicalities of building site operations and building techniques. Antony proceeded to choose a direct path into construction by obtaining a BTEC First in Construction followed by a BTEC National Diploma in Construction.
A Building Surveying sandwich degree followed, between 1995 and 1999, including one year working as a surveyor for the Family First Housing Association. On graduation, Antony joined Anderson Wilde & Harris Chartered Surveyors’ where my formal training started. Between 2008 – 2017 Antony specialised in historic buildings and conservation where he obtained Chartered status.
